Cupping Notes: Chrysanthemum, Honeydew, Yogurt
Farm: Merced del Carrizo
Region: Yacuanquer, Nariño, Colombia
Altitude: 2000 MASL
This region is tucked in a valley at the base of the Volcan Galeras, an active Volcano very close to the capital city in the Nariño department of Colombia. It is unique in its terroir as it very cool and rainy with periods of strong sunshine. The cherries on the trees mature slowly and the overnight temperature variation causes the sugar content of the fruit to be much higher, yielding much sweeter coffee in the final cup.
