The more well-known coffees from Indonesia are from the island of Sumatra, which are often processed Wet-Hulled and lends them their characteristic earthy, savory, almost meaty flavors. The island of Sulawesi, on the other hand, primarily produces Washed coffees for export, and PT Toarco, a Japanese-Indonesian joint mill and export venture, is expert at producing clean, sweet, fruity coffees we simply love.
PT Toarco is focused on providing education and support to its producer partners, which ensures quality standards are met. They train farmers on cherry selection, planting, picking techniques, fermentation, and manage quality throughout storage, transportation, moisture levels.
