This coffee opens the door to a very different flavour profile of Sumatra coffee with the use of a fully washed process instead of the traditional wet-hulling process. The producers utilized drying infrastructures to allow for gradual drying in series, so parchment can be fully-dried before sending to Medan, Sumatra’s main coffee port, to dry the final amount before being milled for export. Such detail-oriented work brings forth a cup of clean yet luxuriously sweet and smooth mouthfeel coffee.
